LEADING MINISTRY

The purpose of this ministry shall be to streamline the activities of the gifted Leading Ministry Members both present and potential in CCR.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the Ministry are as follows:

• To shepherd the members of the leading ministry in CCR

• To steer the face of the prayer meeting to achieve its purpose

• To come out with a framework for the formation and periodic review of the leading ministry at the various levels

• To bring the understanding of the leading ministry to members in CCR

MUSIC MINISTRY

The purpose of the ministry is to form leaders in the ministry to be well formed worship ministers and musicians both spiritually and physically to enable them understand the ministry and their roles for effective leadership. This also to helps the formation of members to be committed and gain technical know-how.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the Ministry are as follows:

• The provision of appropriate song ministry for all Prayer Meetings, Church celebrations and other services.

• The provision of music ministry that ushers the people of God into His presence and awakens in then the passion to bless, honor and glorify Him.

• Helping individuals to develop their God-given musical talents for the purpose of promoting the vision of the RENEWAL in the life of the Church.

• Raising a team of good song ministers for the Charismatic Renewal and the entire Church.

• Raising the standard of Music in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal through formation of well-trained singers, songwriters and talented instrumentalists to promote ministries and other services of the Renewal and the Church.

TEACHING MINISTRY

The need for all women in the Renewal to come together, to address the numerous problems peculiar to women, was strongly felt by the NST and led to the formation of the Women's Ministry of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) in 2001.

It is a Ministry within the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and all women members of the Ghana Catholic Charismatic Renewal automatically members.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the Ministry are as follows:

• To bring together all women within the Ghana Catholic Charismatic Renewal to worship God faithfully.

• To encourage women to be strong in their faith, pray and study the word of God as CCR members.

• To sensitize potential members within the ministry to be formed as leaders for the general CCR.

YOUTH MINISTRY

The NSC of Ghana in 2005 approved of the establishment of the National Youth Coordinating Team (NYCT) for the administration of the Youth Ministry in Ghana and also the accomplishment of the spiritual development of the ministry.

This is evident in Ecclesiastics 11:9: “Rejoice, O young man while you are young and let your heart be glad in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart, the vision of your eyes; yet understand that as regards all this God will bring you to judgment”.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the Ministry are as follows:

o To intensify awareness creation on the need for a life of total commitment to holiness

o To ensure that Evangelisation must be central to all youth activities, bringing young people to a deeper knowledge and experience of Christ

o To challenge young people to respond to their baptismal call and fulfil their mission by exercising a leadership role in a new and effective evangelization of nations.

WOMEN MINISTRY

The need for all women in the Renewal to come together, to address the numerous problems peculiar to women, was strongly felt by the NSC and led to the formation of the Women's Ministry of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) in 2001.

The word of God says in Titus 2:3-5: Likewise, tell the older women to be reverent in behavior, not to be slanderers or slaves to drink; they are to teach what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children.

It is a Ministry within the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and all women members of the Ghana Catholic Charismatic Renewal automatically members.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the Ministry are as follows:

• To bring together all women within the Ghana Catholic Charismatic Renewal to worship God faithfully.

• To encourage women to be strong in their faith, pray and study the word of God as CCR members.

• To sensitize potential members within the ministry to be formed as leaders for the general CCR.

INTERCESSORY MINISTRY

The Intercessory Ministry is the pivot around which the success of activities of the CCR revolves. The avenue through which other ministries are identified. The Ministry entails sacrificing and petitioning God on behalf of another, Loving God with all your heart, soul and strength. It also entails changing of life-style and expecting spiritual warfare.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the Ministry are as follows:

• To raise prophetic intercessors for the church.

• The active involvement of the religious who are gifted in the ministry.

• Attaining maturity in the prayer life of members through formations.

• Making the ministry more relevant in the pastoral care of the church.

PROPHETIC MINISTRY

‘Each one as he received a gift, ministering it to yourselves as good stewards of the manifold grace of God; If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as of the ability which God gives, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory, and the might forever and ever. Amen.’ (I Peter 4:10-11)MKJV

The Prophetic Ministry bring together all potential prophetic ministers to curb the issue of abuse in the ministry.

AIMS/OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the Ministry are as follows:

• The CCR Prophetic Ministry endeavours to be faithful to the CCR, the Catholic Church and to be obedient to Authority at All Levels of the Church.

• In order to be of service to all the individual and groups within the CCR, the CCR Prophetic Ministry makes special efforts to respond to those who call upon it.

• The CCR Prophetic Ministry groups in various Catholic Dioceses in Ghana are directly under the jurisdiction of the Diocesan Bishops. The National Service Team (NST), however, exert a moral and spiritual influence over these CCR Prophetic Ministry groups nation-wide, by virtue of the services it provides as described in these guidelines.

COUNCIL OF ELDERS

This is a body of long serving leaders in the Renewal who are still active and supporting the Archdiocesan Service of Communion (ADSC) in the area of counsel. This is decentralized to the Zonal levels.

FUNCTIONS:

• Seek the counsel of the Lord

• Advise the Archdiocesan Service of Communion

• Advise on strategic issues that affect the Renewal and any other commitments

• Identify with the zones and the local prayer groups.
